A Prayer for the One Who Feels Overlooked

Lord,

I lift up the people who feel as though no one sees them. The ones who are overlooked at work and feel invisible with friends and family. The ones who believe that they could disappear, and no one would notice.

Remind them that they are your precious children and that while others may forget about them, you never do.

Thank you for your omniscience and omnipresence. For your absolute truth that we can rely on without any doubt, and for your presence always surrounding us no matter where we go.

Help them to seek your presence and your validation above the approval of the people of this world.

Remind them that they are precious not only to you but to so many people on this earth as well. And that the world truly is a better place because they’re in it.

I pray that you’ll bring people into their lives that will show them what it means to be loved and treasured. People that will walk alongside them and point them towards you.

Help them to lay down their expectations, hopes, and dreams at your feet Lord. Tune their heart to sing your praises no matter where life takes them.

May they be reminded that you see them, that you find them valuable, and that it is in you that they find their identity, not in the praises and promotions of this world.

Today, may their hearts be softened, and their tears wiped away. Remind them that you look at the heart and that you can never lose sight of one of your children.

Wrap them in your love and show them the impact they’re making on the world simply by being in it.

Amen
