I know that twenty-five years isn’t a long time in the grand scheme of things, but I’ve always loved celebrating milestone moments. I’m so thankful for everything that I’ve learned and experienced in these past years; I know that I wouldn’t be the person I am today without everything that happened in them. Here’s to many more years of learning, failing, growing, and choosing to follow the Lord above all else!
- Life is better when you treat it like an adventure
- Chocolate fixes everything…even if you’re lactose intolerant
- Waiting for the time to be right is just an excuse for staying in your comfort zone
- Stepping out in faith sometimes means faithfully waiting
- The Lord moves in mysterious ways, but we don’t need to…put your signal light on
- Being worried about what others will think of you is the quickest way to shut yourself down
- Not everyone will like you, and that’s okay
- You won’t like everyone, and that’s okay too
- Pets really do make life more interesting
- Don’t apologize for the things that you like. Own that weirdness
- God’s timing is very different from our own, but it’s always perfect
- It’s okay to escape reality from time to time so long as you always remember your way home
- Friends are the family that we choose, so choose wisely
- God can turn all manner of broken things into beautiful testimonies
- You’re basically an expensive house plant, don’t forget to water yourself and make sure that you get some sunshine
- If you find someone who can both tell you how it is and hype you up, hold on to them!
- Instead of comparing yourself to others, choose to champion and build them up
- Don’t be afraid of how the Lord made you. He didn’t mess up, and He isn’t done yet
- Contentment is not the same thing as complacency
- If you find an author you like, it’s okay to buy all of the books they’ve ever written. It shows that you aren’t scared of commitment
- Trying to fit into the moulds of society will only leave you feeling more alone
- Be the friend that you wish you had growing up
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help; it doesn’t mean that you’re weak
- We weren’t meant to go through life alone. Find a community and lean on each other
- Find reasons to laugh everyday
