I wholeheartedly believe that we can see the end of modern-day slavery in our lifetime. I believe this because I know that there are people all around me who are tirelessly fighting and showing up every day to ensure that people have the chance to not only encounter freedom but live autonomous lives. One Step at a Time
Next Step Ministries is an organization working in Calgary, AB, to help women exit sexual exploitation and rediscover what they’ve buried deep within themselves. They also hold an extraordinary place in my heart because I got the immense privilege to be a live-in at one of their houses for the tail end of 2017. The…

Of those 530,000 children, 81% of them will be sexually abused during their time in the Child Welfare System. These boys and girls are some of the most vulnerable members of our society; often times being taken out…
Starling Box: Unbox Restoration
You all know that I love a good subscription box, especially when it’s one that not only has great items in it but also has a great cause behind it. I did a post about the Arise box (which you can read about here), but I have another box to share with you! I want…
5 Ethical Ways to Revamp Your Closet
Do you know who made your clothes? I’m not talking about the brand that’s splayed across the front of your sweater or is embroidered onto the tag off your jeans. I’m talking about the hands that stitched it all together, the person who hunched over a sewing machine to create the articles of clothing you…
